A few rules before to start…

Submission

Submission is free. Professional and non-professional illustrators/illustrators resident both in Italy and abroad can register for the contest. It is possible to participate with only one original illustration. Participation in the contest automatically implies acceptance of these regulations.
The technique of execution is free. The format must be A3 – CMYK – 300 DPI, destined, in case of selection, to the press for the exhibition of the finalist illustrations. In addition, we also ask you for an RGB version for publication in the social media.

Theme

The theme of this fifth edition is borders.

Deadline

The artwork must be sent no later than 11.59 p.m. on July 31st 2023. The artwork must be sent:

The award-winning authors will be notified in time by e-mail or telephone. Information and updates on the competition will also be available on the website www.orvietocinemafest.com.

Rights

The authors, participating in the contest:

  1. Declare and guarantee the authorship and full availability of the illustration.
  2. Declare to indemnify and hold harmless the Association Orvieto Cinema Fest from any claims that may be made by third parties in relation to the artwork, their reproduction or publication.
  3. Grant the non-exclusive right to publish the works in the catalogue and on the site www.orvietocinemafest.com
  4. allow reproduction on any medium and size for the purposes of communication and promotion of the Orvieto Cinema Fest and the Dialogue Festival, without having anything to claim in terms of copyright.

The rights to the work remain the property of their respective authors.

Awards

The jury will designate the winning illustration whose author will be awarded a prize of 300 euros in recognition of personal merit.

In addition, 15 other finalists will also be selected and will be exhibited during the Orvieto Cinema Fest and included in the catalogue. The rest of the participating works will be published on the various social channels of the OCF.
